Randy came to this area as the chief operating officer of St. Charles Hospital in 1985. He subsequently became president and chief executive officer of Mercy and St. Charles Hospitals.

He was a charismatic leader who believed in fairness, equality, professionalism and compassion.

Randy had many interests outside the healthcare arena. He was proud of and constantly entertained by his three children, Kelly, Krystal and Grant Kordash. Golf was never a hobby as he revered it as a sport to master and fashioned himself a student of the game. Randy and his wife, Lynn, enjoyed spending time at their home in Palm Desert, California, exploring mountains, deserts and golf courses.

Randy had an enormous zest for life and enjoyed entertaining friends and family on a regular basis. Even after his diagnosis of cancer in 1989, Randy lived every day to the fullest. He is dearly missed by all who knew him.
